The publishing house "Dar-ul-Isha iat-i-Punjab" played a significant role in promoting the Urdu literature for children. It issued a weekly magazine "Phool" for children in 1909. It rendered commendable services for the mental and literary growth of children till half century. This institute published books containing short stories, religion, poetry and ethics, keeping in view the educational, recreational, moral, and psychological needs of children according to their different stages of life and gender. It also published text books in easy language to fulfil the educational needs of the children. It printed booklets for children at cheapest price and gave the concept of Paisa Library. The services of this publishing house are unforgettable in the promotion of Urdu literature for children in the subcontinent.
