Abstract

Feminist movement seeks to establish parity between men and women across social, political, and economic spheres, eradicating disparities in their relationships. Despite progress in modernization and capitalism, women continue to face multifaceted forms of oppression, often veiled by subtle yet pervasive objectification. The mistreatment of women in society is a centuries-old tradition perpetuated by patriarchal systems globally. However, this awakening did prompt various classes to assert their rights. Analyzing Urdu literature through a feminist lens reveals a more pronounced presence of feminist elements in prose than poetry. This article, " A Critical Analysis of Protest Elements in Urdu Feminist Short Stories," provides a nuanced understanding of the feminist movement's impact on Urdu fiction.
