Quaid-e-Azam and Iqbal's Intellectual and Ideological Connections

Abstract
Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal were two of the brightest stars of Pakistan Movement whose untiring efforts changed the fate of Muslims of Sub-Continent. Iqbal presented the idea of a separate Country for the Muslims of Sub-Continent and Quaid Worked relentlessly to achieve this goal. Although their habits and personalities were antithetical, but they always remained good friends, however both had un-paralleled thoughts and sentiments towards wellbeing of Muslim Ummah and spent their life struggling for this esteemed cause. Although span of their relations was very short but resulted in a separate Country for the Muslims of India. In this regard Iqbal wrote letters to Jinnah from April 1936 to Nov 1937 and in April 1943 these thirteen letters were published with efforts of Quaid, titled "Letters of Iqbal to Jinnah" preface of this collection was written by Quaid himself. The Urdu translation of this collection was published by Abdur Rehman Saeed in September 1943 titled "Iqbal kay Khatoot Jinnah kay Naam", multiples editions of this book have been published so far. Ashiq Hussain Batalvi has published two more letters from Iqbal to Jinnah in his book titled "Iqbal kay Aakhri Do Saal". Letters written from Jinnah to Iqbal have not been found so far. These letters reflect how Jinnah, Iqbal and other companions pawed the way for a sovereign state for Muslims of India through their foresight and assiduous efforts.
